Allard
1900s bistrot; the original zinc-plated bar, low ceiling and visible ovens create an authentic atmosphere. The menu never changes and the food is always a sure bet.

The snails where good but Lamb and steamed beans! Come on! is that all you get for a 25 euro lunch? Poor service on top of that...

The duck with olives will keep you coming again and again and again ...
Chiharu - 07.08.2007
Service was atrocious, poor value for money - far too expensive, dirty toilets. The worst day of my Parisian experience.
Sewer - 04.12.2007
Typical Parisian decor. I came more for the cuisine, wines selectioned by the chef and the dessert (sorbet), a real treat.

Allard was one of my Uncle's favorite restaurants, who lived for 10 years in Paris. The gigot d'agneau aux flageolets (lamb leg with beans) is excellent. This restaurant is also mentioned in Mario Vargas Llosa's last novel.
Douglas Smart - 08.01.2006
This is like a journey back in time to a classic Paris now in many ways lost.
05.12.2006
The atmosphere was great but the service was a little slow.
03.21.2006
It was recommended to my husband by his friend, I swear it was good. The turbot with butter was an adventure alone. Warm atmosphere and efficient service!
Robert Gunn - 05.22.2005
Don't miss this truly wonderful Parisian restaurant. The canard aux olives is fantastic, among other treats.
04.21.2004
Sublime wine menu for a bistrot. Authentic and straightforward cuisine. Try it.
04.30.2003
Only good and tasty food. For a romantic dinner, results assured. It's a bit expensive, but the dishes are very impressive!!
laurence - 04.29.2003
What did I like? The duck with olives and the chocolate charlotte! Warm service and decor.
04.03.2003
Ancient decor, traditional cuisine and good wines, this place has rediscovered its onetime prestige. Try it out!
12.15.2002
Traditional cuisine, very high quality. Beautiful (but expensive) wine menu. Guaranteed retro ambiance of the 1930s.
02.11.2002
I didn't realize that we could still eat like this in Paris. Excellent!
11.09.2001
The zinc, the tables and the decor are all like the real Paris. And then the gargantuan cuisine...
08.28.2001
Very good palce to eat grand grandmother's food...
